Lighting Maintenance Engineers

Quicklight is responsible for managing the lighting maintenance for commercial customers including large retail chains and wholesale distributors.

We currently have a number of engineer vacancies, all mobile roles based in the following areas:

  • Reading
  • Swindon
  • Oxford
  • Home Counties
  • North London (N/NW/EN areas)


You will carry out lighting maintenance across your region, working from home (usually on your own but as part of a National and Regional team). Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, however there will be opportunities at times to work overtime during evenings and weekends.

As well as being a fully qualified electrician with City and Guilds 2360 (parts 1 and 2) or City and Guilds 2330 or equivalent, you must have experience of working with 3-phase power systems. We use a paperless system whereby the engineers use PDA’s to complete job sheets. We are looking for honest, hard-working and motivated individuals who understand the value of customer satisfaction. You will liaise directly with customers, visiting them on an eight week cycle so will be well presented. Excellent customer service skills are essential.

Successful applicants will have a proven track record in the electrical industry with mobile lighting maintenance experience. You will be self-motivated and keen to take on challenges. You must be a committed team player who can focus on the task of achieving the common goals of the company.

The package includes a flexible basic salary depending on experience plus a bonus based on turnover and pension. You will be provided van, uniform, phone, fuel cards and PPE equipment. We expect engineers to provide their own hand tools.
