Electrical testing

Anywhere you need them in the UK, our reliable, professional test engineers can provide the following electrical testing services:

Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) testing

All electrical installations deteriorate over time; common causes include damage, wear and tear, corrosion, high loading, age and environmental influences. As companies have a responsibility to ensure that all electrical wiring in their buildings complies with current regulations, it’s widely recommended that an electrical installation condition report (EICR) is carried out on a regular basis to inspect its condition.

We make light work of what might otherwise be a major undertaking, and offer a planned, flexible solution to inspection testing. If required, we perform the appropriate tests during shut-down periods or out of hours. This minimises the disruption caused by having to isolate parts of your installation at different stages during the testing.

Thermal image inspection

We also recommend monitoring the condition of your installations in between fixed wire electrical testing inspections. For this type of preventative maintenance, thermal imaging is an effective and quick diagnostic tool. Using thermal imaging cameras we are able to detect ‘hot spots’ before they become a major problem. The cameras allow us to provide detailed images so that you can see the problem and prioritise remedial work.

Emergency light testing and maintenance

We survey, test and recommend changes to your emergency lighting systems to make sure you comply with the latest regulations. And then we can help to plan, install and maintain all your emergency lights, including bulkhead lighting, self-contained lighting, outdoor lighting, maintained and non-maintained lighting and emergency exit signage.

Fire alarm testing

Fire alarm systems testing

Our test engineers can also help you to comply with the Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulation, and other health and safety regulations governing fire alarm systems in your premises. After carrying out the fire alarm testing we will report on any remedial and maintenance work that you require.

PAT testing

You are required by law to regularly test every item of electrical equipment, however small, used in the workplace. Our trained PAT (portable appliance testing) specialists use the latest equipment to test all your electrical appliances and then provide an unbiased report and list of your electrical assets. If any electrical equipment fails, we will notify you right away.
